Before pursuing Chinese Medicine, I studied psychology at Harvard University and then worked as an intervention specialist in autism classrooms in the bay area. In 2011 I completed my M.S. in Oriental Medicine at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. Currently I am working on a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at ACCHS in Oakland. As part of that program I have been intensively studying integrative acupuncture orthopedics with Anthony von der Muhll. I also have deepened my practice of classical herbal medicine studying with Dr. Suzanne Robidoux and completed her 120 hour two year program in 2019.
In addition to my private practice, since 2014 I have worked as an acupuncturist at the Center for Elders Independence, a program that provides care to low-income older adults in the east bay. Since I love to prescribe and make raw herbal formulas, I also maintain a raw herb pharmacy in my home to provide reliably sourced herbs that are either organic or tested to be free of pesticide residues.
