I take my role as a doctor seriously, so I do my best to be attentive, thorough, thoughtful, and caring when working with my patients.
Before pursuing Chinese Medicine, I studied psychology at Harvard University and then worked as an intervention specialist in autism classrooms in the bay area. In 2011 I completed my M.S. in Oriental Medicine at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. In 2021 I completed a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at ACCHS in Oakland. As part of that program I intensively studied integrative acupuncture orthopedics and pain management with Anthony von der Muhll. I deepened my practice of classical herbal medicine studying with Dr. Suzanne Robidoux and completed her 120 hour two year program in 2019. I also studied herbal medicine in Nanjing, China with Dr. Huang Huang in 2014 and I am currently continuing my herbal studies taking classes with Julie-Ann Nugent-Head in Asheville, NC.
I am a dedicated craftsperson as well and love to learn how to make things by hand. I make traditional Appalachian style brooms and whisks, weave baskets from foraged materials, and occasionally teach classes in both. If that sounds intriguing, please take a look at my instagram and my etsy shop.
